Apple Announces WWDC 2025: What to Expect from iOS 19 and More
Apple has announced that WWDC 2025 will run from June 9 to June 13. The big event will showcase the latest Apple software including iOS 19, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS. As with previous years, WWDC will be an online event open to all developers with a special in-person keynote at Apple Park on June 9.
What to Expect
WWDC is known for big software updates and this year is expected to be no different. Reports say Apple is working on major software overhauls for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Bloomberg describes iOS 19 as “the biggest update since iOS 7” so users can expect a major redesign and new features.
Apart from software updates, Apple might also announce new hardware. Speculation is already growing about a potential Siri upgrade with rumors pointing towards a more advanced AI-driven voice assistant.
Apple to Developers
Apple is committed to providing developers with the best tools and resources. “Free to all developers, WWDC25 will focus on the latest Apple software,” the company said in a press release. The event will have exclusive sessions with Apple experts, workshops and insights into new tools, frameworks and features to help you develop your app.
Will There Be Hardware Announcements?
While WWDC is a software focused event, Apple has used it to announce new hardware in the past. With Apple’s focus on AI and machine learning, there’s speculation about new AI-driven MacBooks, iPads or even an upgraded Vision Pro headset.
Conclusion
WWDC 2025 is shaping up to be a big event with big updates for Apple users and developers. Whether you’re looking forward to iOS 19’s redesign, AI or new hardware, this year’s WWDC is going to be huge. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the event!
