Apple Expands Apple Intelligence Language Support in April 2025
Apple is set to expand the language support for its AI-powered suite, Apple Intelligence, starting in April 2025. The new update will introduce support for French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Additionally, localized English versions for India and Singapore will also be available.
During Apple’s Q4 2024 earnings call, CEO Tim Cook confirmed the expansion, marking a significant step in making Apple Intelligence more accessible worldwide. Initially, it was launched exclusively in U.S. English. Later, the iOS 18.2 update in December 2024 extended support to English localizations for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K.
However, Apple has not yet revealed plans for rolling out its AI suite in the European Union and Mainland China.
In addition, Cook highlighted that the upgraded Siri, which can understand on-screen context, will be launched “over the next several months.” This update aims to enhance user experience with more intuitive and responsive AI-driven assistance.
Apple’s expansion of its AI services positions the company at the forefront of the AI industry. Stay tuned for more updates on Apple Intelligence and its evolving features.
