25-Year-Old Brinc Drones Founder Raises $75M from Index Ventures
Seattle-based Brinc Drones, founded by 25-year-old Blake Resnick, just secured $75 million in funding led by Index Ventures. The startup, which launched in 2017, has now raised $157.2 million in total and is disrupting emergency response with its advanced police drone technology.
Brinc drones are designed to assist law enforcement and first responders, reaching remote areas faster than traditional vehicles. A standout feature? They can break windows or deliver emergency medical devices.
This new funding round also includes a strategic partnership with Motorola Solutions, integrating Brinc drones with 911 call centers. With Motorola’s AI-enabled systems, emergency dispatchers can deploy drones directly from their interface.
Brinc joins a competitive space with other U.S.-based drone firms like Flock Safety and Skydio. But founder Resnick believes there’s massive room for growth. The company’s U.S.-made drones also appeal to agencies avoiding Chinese manufacturers due to rising regulatory pressures.
With backing from Sam Altman and now Index Ventures, Brinc is poised to redefine public safety response one drone at a time.
