The platform announced that its advanced AI search feature is now available in five new languages — French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. This move allows users in countries like Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, Mexico, and Italy to experience Reddit’s evolving AI search technology in their native languages.
The AI-powered search, known as Reddit Answers, offers a chat-style, question-and-answer interface. Users can now type queries naturally and receive more relevant, conversational results powered by Google’s AI model. Unlike traditional keyword-based search, this system understands context, delivering smarter and faster results.
Since its debut last year, Reddit has been steadily improving this AI feature to enhance accessibility and engagement. According to Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, the platform’s search is used by over 70 million weekly users. Reddit Answers already serves more than 6 million users.
