Google Expands AI-Powered Flight Deals & Travel Planning Tools Worldwide
Google has taken a major step forward in transforming how people plan and book their trips. The company has rolled out its AI-powered Flight Deals tool globally and introduced new travel planning features inside Search. These updates are designed to help travelers find affordable flights faster and organize their entire trip with ease.
AI Flight Deals Goes Global
Originally launched in the U.S., Canada, and India, Google’s Flight Deals is now available in more than 200 countries and territories, including the U.K., France, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, and Korea. The tool now also supports 60+ languages, making it accessible to millions of new users.
Using Flight Deals is simple. Just describe where, when, and how you want to travel. Google’s AI will instantly show you the best available fares and affordable destinations tailored to your preferences.
Travel Planning Made Easy with Canvas
Google also expanded its AI Mode by introducing new travel planning capabilities in Canvas, a feature that helps users organize tasks across multiple sessions. Now, Canvas can help build complete travel itineraries.
Simply tell AI Mode what kind of trip you want, then select “Create with Canvas.” The side panel will generate a travel plan using real-time data from:
-
Google Flights
-
Google Maps (photos, reviews, directions)
-
Hotel listings
-
Local websites for restaurants, activities, and attractions
You can also compare hotels, get suggestions based on your interests, and ask follow-up questions to adjust your itinerary.
Currently, this feature is available on desktop in the U.S. for users opted into the AI Mode experiment in Labs.
Agentic Booking Comes to More Users
Google is also expanding its AI-driven reservation capabilities. Now available to all users in the U.S., AI Mode can book:
-
Restaurant reservations
-
Event tickets
-
Beauty and wellness appointments
Just provide your preferences—party size, date, time, cuisine, or location—and AI Mode will search multiple platforms to find real-time availability and present curated options.
What’s Coming Next?
Google plans to take things further by allowing users to book flights and hotels directly in AI Mode. You’ll be able to compare prices, check schedules, view room photos, review amenities, and complete bookings—all inside Search.
